霜月はるか

Haruka Shimotsuki (霜月はるか, born November 15 in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan) is a soprano, composer and singer-songwriter currently based in Tokyo and signed to CRAFTSCAPE, a label she co-created. Her style is inspired primarily by neoclassical, new age and Western folk music and includes fantasy elements. She honed her singing skills during college and began creating dôjin (fan) music in 2001. Her success and popularity as an independent artist led to her major debut in September 2005 with her album Ashiato Rhythm (あしあとリズム). She is perhaps best known for her contributions to video game soundtracks, notably the Atelier series by Gust and the Ar tonelico series. She has also performed songs for animated TV series, including カザハネ (the ending theme of H2O) and ふゆみどり (ending theme of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky). In addition to working as a solo artist, she is a member of the circles Maple Leaf, TieLeaf, and 753. Shimotsuki is also a member of multiple musical units including kukui (with myu), MW (with 片霧烈火), and canoue (with MANYO and 日山尚). She has also appeared in a number of Sound Horizon's live performances. Official website: http://www.shimotsukin.com/ Read more on Last.fm.
