Hiroyuki Nakayama is a Japanese composer, pianist and conductor. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he went on to graduate from the Department of Composition at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Studied composition under Makoto Sato, Norio Fukushi, and Hiroshi Aoshima. While a student, he composed "Salto" for orchestra, which was performed by the Geidai Philharmonia. Other compositions include a dedication of a piece to the city of Atami, a piece for the Syrian state, a musical "Taketori Monogatari" and a choral piece. As an arranger, he has arranged orchestral music for the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra's "Cinema Meets Symphony: Masterpieces Revived by Symphony Orchestra" and "Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Grand Concert featuring Susan Boyle in Budokan" concerts, and composed and chorally arranged "Kawasaki no Neiro" for the 80th anniversary of Kawasaki City. He has also produced and arranged music for TV games and animation. Major works include orchestral arrangements for Xbox360's "Blue Dragon" and "Lost Odyssey", "Final Fantasy III Opening" for Nintendo DS, "Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections" and "Piacons II", and a CD that sold over 10,000 copies, an exceptional feat for a classic, " Ghibli the Classics" and many CDs of arranged works.
