1. Manchester Hardcore 2. Upshot originated in 2007 simply as a group of college friends in the Midwest who wanted to jam. What started out as informal sessions for friends and dorm rooms soon blossomed into a local following and a desire to take the project to the next level. The next few years were spent crafting their songs and developing an identity that is truly theirs and theirs alone. The genres of music that inspire Upshot run across the board and it's clearly evident in their music. After a few years of the ever-so-predictable up's and down's, personnel changes, and several cross-country relocations, Upshot settled down back in the Midwest to record their debut album, City Noise, in March of 2011. An eclectic mix from the genre-defying band, City Noise illustrates what Upshot is all about. Socially conscious lyrics combined with elements of rock, blues, reggae, funk, hip-hop, and many other styles to give you a truly remarkable experience.
