The Days of the Trumpet Call

The Days of the Trumpet Call is a neoclassical band with an epic/apocalyptic sound started in Bayern, Germany by Dennis Raymond Plummer in 1998. The original scope of Raymond’s vision was dealing with the subject of the apocalypse, the faith and hope in the midst of the decline in our modern society. The first releases of Days of the Trumpet Call music were on compilation CDs, the track “Morgenröte” appearing on the Josef Thorak sampler on the VAWS label in 1998 and “Läuterung” appearing on the Nightingale I compilation from the Steady Beatz label in 1999. The first full length release from Days of the Trumpet Call was the album Purification in 2000 on the Black Rain label. The release was packed with electronic orchestrals, female chorals, violin and piano work, with some bombastic tracks thrown in for good measure. Their next non-compilation release was the 10” vinyl I saw no Temple in the City released in 2001. In 2002 the book and CD Heroes & Traitors was released. The book portion of the release contained some short stories by James BraveWolf. The CD portion however is pure Days of The Trumpet Call, exclusive tracks specifically for this release with their brand of neo-classical music combined with spoken extracts of the book.
