Stian André Mikkelsen aka SoundSAM was born 1979 and at the age of 7 was clearly drawn to electronic music thru "Transformers" the cartoon and fell in love with the vocoder of "Soundwave" the robot. From there on he wanted to play the synthesizer, but the full throttle didn't happen for a few years later when he bought himself an AMIGA 1200 and started creating his own tracks with the 4 track music program PROTracker. In 1995 he was inspired by the chilled arctic music from the north corner of Norway in Tromsø with releases from the underground label Beatservice, like Mind over MIDI, Biosphere, Mental Overdrive etc. From there on Stian lived for electronic music and become the center of his life. Stian has been driven by music now for a long time but it wasn't before recent years (2006) he really developet his genuine own sound with success outside his bedroom studio. He founded the brand and label Phat Fuel (Records) and started releasing tracks on global download sites such as Beatport, iTunes, JunoDownload and later also Spotify plus every digital content site, with great international response. He has now been remixing names like Røyksopp, Tesla Boy, Triangle Sun, Chordasian and lots more. His brand is growing exponentially and he DJ's regularly in his resident town of Kristiansand, now with his own concept "Phat Fueled" along with other clubs.
