SayJak

Artist SayJak(Also known as SJ), is a Music Producer/Engineer/Composer born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. The name "SayJak" is a slang termed name for a guy who doesn't say anything. He got his name from his best friend named "Say Jack" who died from gang violence in Chicago's Uptown area. Friends of the late Say Jack seen a lot of their friend in SJ, so he took Say Jack's name in as his own but took the C out of the name to "clarify" that he is not the only "SayJak". When he started making music, wrote poetry and raps but was never as serious about the lyrical content of hip hop as artist like his friends Monopoly Joe(now known as MonopoleJoe) and Preston P. SayJak always had a producer's artistic vision, beating on tables and humming melodies he thought was cool. Influences like Dj Premier, 9th Wonder, Flying Lotus, and Boards of Canada sparked SayJak's interest in being a Electronic/Hip-Hop Producer. He has Produced for many artists such as MonoPoleJoe, 1000 Wordz, Bill$, Reidy, Signature, and BDaman who are members of a Ten Person Hip-Hop/R&B Crew called "New Life (Media Group)" . He's Is currently working on his Freshmen Instrumental album called "Post" as well as Productions on Bill$'s Solo EP called "Minnesota Rude/Nice". Read more on Last.fm.
