Number 9

Stefan Bruinsma (17-08-1982), a.k.a. Number 9, was born and raised in the north of the Netherlands in a city called Groningen. At the age of 9 he discovered music was his passion, and he took his first piano lessons shortly followed by his first guitar lessons. After developing as a musician he encountered people that shared his vision on making music and performing on stage. At the age of 18 he chose the Rockacademy in Tilburg to develop as an artist and entrepreneur in the music industry. Up till now his life resulted in the following music projects: ChupaCabra Rock / Metal / Hardcore (1997 - 2001) Guitar NorthQuake Hip-Hop (1998 - 2003) Producer / MC Sanctio Hip-Hop / Funk / Soul (1999 - 2005) Piano / Guitar / MC Inna-Truth & Number 9 Hip-Hop (2004 - ) Producer / MC Space Messengers Jazz / Trip-Hop / Lounge (2006 - ) Guitar / DJ / MC 165over90 Drum & Bass (2007 - 2009) MC Lift It Up Techno / Dance (2008) MC Number 9 Hip-Hop / Drum & Bass / Jazz (2002 - ) Producer / MC His first album, called Unbound, was recorded in 2000 with the Hip-Hop collaboration NorthQuake. Number 9's second album was his own project called Music and Me and was recorded in the period 2002 - 2005. The third album was a project between him as producer/MC and Inna-Truth as MC, and released in 2007 as Inna-Truth & Number 9 - The Lost Pages. As a producer and a musician Number 9 keeps developing and expanding his horizon in music. At the moment he is busy with the collaborations with the Space Messengers and mostly his own project.
