Marthe Wang

Marthe Wang was born and raised in Bergen. She graduated from the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2014 where she studied jazz singing and music pedagogy. In February 2017, her debut album "Out and see something else" came to rave reviews. She was nominated as a fiddler for this album in the Show category - and the song "Til deg" was selected as the Church's City Mission's TV action song in 2018. This song has become part of Norway's song treasure chest. In 2018, she received the Copywriters' Fund's bright spot award and TONO's generous Edvard Prize for text on "Out and see something else". April 17, 2020 came the follow-up album "Bakkekontakt" released by her own record company Bjerke. With roll of the dice 6 from Bergensavisen, roll of the dice 5 from VG and excellent words from Dagens Næringsliv, she undoubtedly managed to follow up her debut success. The first single "Now I say goodbye" went in heavy rotation with A-list on NRK P1. Read more on Last.fm.
