Lady XO

Lady XO is an artist from Chicago, Illinois who originally received attention over a run of magnetic freestyle releases on social media. Her style is progressive, hypnotizing and authentic, with relatable lyrics focusing on the raw emotions of a young woman growing up in today's culture, but she can also be fearless as well as sensual. A pure artist at heart, she began rapping while in high school. 
 Upon Lady XO's ascension, Hip Hop saw a parallel rise in female Hip Hop on a global scale and achieving record-breaking accomplishments. And with the women coming in droves, each have been able to captivate their own fanbase and sound like XO has with their own unique style to add variety to the genre separating from the pack of carbon copies who've attempted to imitate following the newfound wave. XO speaks on the matter with "I feel I bring a lot of value based on the fact that I keep it real lyrically, I put a lot of thought into what I say and how I say it, I speak about real emotion, real shit, that’s what separates me from most female artists and just a lot of artists in general." 
 Acknowledged by music in 2018 with her first works like "No Holds Barred," "Run It Up" and "Finesse" producing millions of views, she entered her breakout moment. Following a gradual 2019 that produced singles with even bigger hits like "Work" and "Tap In," Lady XO entered 2020, turned things up and broke the knob off. Read more on Last.fm.
