Kitsch

There are more than one band named “Kitsch": 1) A gothic rock Catalan band formed in 1985, current members are Lluís Costabella (vocals & guitar), Joan Pairó (bass & vocals), David Zamora (guitar) & Jordi Farreras (drums). http://www.kitsch.cat/ 2) Smashing out pop rock sensibility with a punk rock attitude. Retaining its core members for over two decades, Kitsch gear up to deliver the next phase in their evolution, an album of epic depths, prepare yourself for PLASTIC LIVES. Tapping into modern states of mind, internet anonymity and global disruption, PLASTIC LIVES comments on the rapidly changing information age and the recent development of online and offline personal identity and its effect on human civilisation. Joining forces once again with audio magician Andrew Buckton combined with the recent recruitment of Hadleigh Donald (Bleeders/Cobra Khan) Kitsch are to bring the full noise of PLASTIC LIVES to a stage near you. Kitsch are a New Zealand rock band from Auckland, New Zealand. With 7 releases and over 1000 shows on big and small stages over 20 years, the Kitsch legacy is one of the longest serving and most dynamic in the Kiwi live music scene. https://www.facebook.com/kitschrock 3) A power pop/rock 'n' roll band from England formed in the early 80s famous for being one the earliest bands of both Tyla (The Dogs D'amour) and Paul Raven (Killing Joke, Prong, Ministry) and were led by Rook Randle (Lunaseed). Their demo song 'Teenager of the Week' was later covered and released as the first Dogs D'amour track (retitled 'Teenage') on the 1983 glam-punk compilation, Trash on Delivery. The original line-up split up in 1982 but Rook put together a new Kitsch and the group finally recorded an album entitled Kleptomania on Plezure Records. However the album was shelved and the only tracks to get released were on a record company sampler album called Plezure Starts Here, namely 'Undercover Lover' and 'Never Again'. Eventually Kitsch broke up because of difficulties with the management and production company. http://www.openmindrecordings.com/rook/kitsch/kitsch.htm http://www.myspace.com/kitschUK 4) A Synthpop band from Sweden. 5) A pop/rock band from Italy based in London. 6) An Alternative Rock band from Italy. http://www.myspace.com/kitsch.italia http://www.kitschmusic.it 7) A Emotive/screamo band from Puerto Rico 8) A psychedellic postpunk band from Panama https://www.facebook.com/kitschband https://myspace.com/kitschpanama/music/songs 9) A jazz-folk-rock trio from Cedar Falls, Iowa, USA.
