1) Eldar is a project formed are Marc Merinee and Merce Spica from Barcelona, started in 2004. The sound of Eldar is a unique blend of different musical styles that mix the industrial sound, dark ambient and neoclassical aspects, but all characterized within the framework of electronic music. Their sound evolved over the years to the current sound in each album you discover new aspects of music. With the release of re-imagination, his third CD for Sony BMG Masterworks, Eldar documents his transition from youthful prodigy to a creative artist with something to say. The release follows the 2006 CD Live at the Blue Note, which featured Eldar and his working trio with jazz trumpeters Chris Botti and Roy Hargrove as guest artists, and cemented Eldar’s position as one of the most formidable jazz musicians of his generation.
