Ceebrolistics

Ceebrolistics has made its mark on the Finnish experimental hiphop scene since the beginning of the nineties, at first among a strict underground crowd and later spreading to the mainstream media with few acclaimed releases. Ceebrolistics (the name from 1995 and on) is often dubbed as the veterans of new Finnish hiphop. Introverted lyrics and gloomy, progressive and dubbed-out sounds have been the characteristics of the "ceebro-sound". The sound floats gradually towards experimental electronics. Delays, twisted rhythm patterns, steady bass lines, and strong ambiances hint towards Berlin. It's dub! The songs deviate more and more from the rap standards, the music escapes straight structures. And bangs! The minimalistic electronic aesthetics of the music has passed on to thestatic, repetitive lyrics. Read more on Last.fm.
