Breaking Free

Breaking Free was a Berlin based hardcore band. It all started back in 1993 when 5 friends decided that they want to make some music. The first shows followed and the group of friends of their music grew quickly. In 1994 they released their first split EP on campesina records with their friends of No Trust In It. Lots of shows followed with bands like Refused, Ignite, Damnation, Turmoil, Battery, Despair... But then suddenly Boris left the band and so the end was near. Because it wasn't the same anymore. The rest tried to keep it up with Grischa on drums but in 1997 the split came and so the end of Breaking Free. These songs were recorded to appear on our first longplayer back in `95, but then Breaking Free broke up and so they got lost. I think it‘s a good piece of music, that brings back some memories of the old times and shows what Berlin HC was all about… Thanks to all our friends who supported us over the years.
