Anímic

Anímic is a Catalan neofolk group formed in 2003 and which until 2017 has released six albums. The group's keyboardist Ferran Palau has had a parallel solo career as a singer-songwriter since the 2010s. In 2007 they published Hau o Hïu, with which they became known in wider sectors of the public, although they had been publishing references with a Creative Commons license since 2004 and always under Les Petites Coses Records as Teràpia musical (2004). In 2009 they released Himalaya with which they received very good reviews for having refined the minimalist style. During the preparation of the album Hannah (2010), Raül Cuevas (Nanouk Produccions) filmed a documentary that premiered at the "In-Edit Beefeater" festival under the title of From Texas to Arbúcies. Mondosonoro magazine also placed them among the best of the year. In September 2013 they released Hannibal, again co-owned by BCore Disc and Les Petites Coses Records. The album represented a stylistic turn, delving into more obscure and dense sounds. In February 2017 Anímic published their sixth album, Skin. Read more on Last.fm.
