epic dark moody gloom dystopian
This one started as a CD swap with NisaMishap, who tends to like her music on the dark and moody side. I put together some electronic tracks of this ilk and the result was satisfying enough to base a whole mix around the concept of dystopia. I fully appreciate that this will not be to everyone's taste, as it spans a lot of different genres, from electro to techno to drum & bass to distorted guitar drones to industrial to dark ambient and many things in-between. European Man is the name under which Last.fm user sharevari DJs from time to time. The name is entirely to blame on a courier who one day delivered a package to the office which subsequently got lost. When contacted, he claimed it had been signed for by a European man. Much hilarity ensued when the signature was procured and it turned out to be Erik, so the name stuck. Read more on Last.fm.
